The MDR-Q Real-Time PCR Kit is a multiplex molecular assay designed for the qualitative detection of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes in human clinical samples using real-time PCR technology. The assay enables rapid identification of key resistance markers to support informed antimicrobial therapy decisions
The assay is based on real-time PCR for the detection of resistance genes associated with Carbapenem, Vancomycin, Methicillin, Colistin, ESBLs, AmpC β-lactamase, Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole (SXT), and PMQR resistance.
The kit consists of five reaction tubes, each targeting a specific group of resistance genes using fluorescent probes across FAM, HEX, Texas Red, and Cy5 channels. Tube 5 includes an internal control to validate assay performance.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) reduces the effectiveness of antibiotics and complicates infection management. Rapid detection of resistance genes enables accurate antimicrobial selection and improves patient outcomes.
