The HSV-Q Real-Time PCR Test Kit is an in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assay based on Real-Time PCR technology. It is designed to work seamlessly with the OnePCR Ultra-FastPOC Rapid RT-PCR System, which automates DNA extraction and real-time PCRanalysis in a single closed cartridge run.

The kit includes specific primers and fluorescent probes that target the HSV-1glycoprotein D gene and the HSV-2 US5 gene. The kit detects:

  • Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV-1) DNA
  • Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (HSV-2) DNA
  • Internal Control for assay validation and quality assurance

ONEPCR Automated Testing Workflow
  • Collect a blood, plasma, or serum sample following the sample collection guidelines.
  • Load 200 μL of the sample into Cartridge-1 (well 'A', marked 'Sample').
  • Reconstitute Cartridge-2 by adding 10 μL of Reconstitution Buffer and attach the tubeadapter.
  • Load Cartridge-1 and Cartridge-2 into the OnePCR Ultra-Fast POC RT-PCR System.
  • The system will perform fully automated DNA/RNA extraction and Real-Time PCRamplification.
  • Results are displayed with Ct values, amplification curves, and Positive/Negativeinterpretation for HSV-1 and HSV-2.
