Overview

The SpiNXT Plant DNA Extraction Kit is based on silica membrane spin column technology for the rapid and effective purification of plant genomic DNA. Plant tissues are first mechanically disrupted and lysed using optimized buffers that facilitate cell wall breakdown, release DNA, inactivate DNases, and solubilize nucleic acids. Under high-salt conditions, the released DNA selectively binds to the silica membrane, allowing separation from polysaccharides, proteins, secondary metabolites, and other cellular contaminants commonly present in plant tissues. Sequential wash steps ensure efficient removal of impurities, followed by elution of purified DNA using a low-salt buffer or nuclease-free water. The workflow avoids hazardous organic solvents and enables consistent recovery of high-purity DNA, suitable for a broad range of downstream molecular biology applications.
