Overview

The MagNXT FFPE DNA Extraction Kit utilizes an advanced magnetic bead-based purification technology to ensure efficient and reproducible DNA isolation from FFPE tissue sections. The workflow includes paraffin removal, optimized tissue lysis, and Proteinase K digestion to release genomic DNA. Magnetic beads selectively bind DNA, allowing effective removal of contaminants and inhibitors through multiple wash steps, followed by clean DNA elution. Formalin fixation commonly causes cross-linking between nucleic acids and proteins, which can result in DNA fragmentation and reduced yield. The MagNXT FFPE kit is specifically optimized to partially reverse these cross-links, improving DNA recovery and quality. The protocol eliminates the need for hazardous organic solvents such as phenol-chloroform or alcohol precipitation, providing a safe, fast, and user-friendly extraction process.
